Position Summary:
Miovision is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Security Analyst to support the ongoing protection of the organization’s systems, networks, and applications. This entry-level position is ideal for a technically curious individual looking to grow their career in cybersecurity within a fast-paced, mission-driven technology environment focused on smart transportation solutions.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Security (CISO), the Security Analyst will assist in maintaining Miovision’s enterprise and product security posture through continuous monitoring, incident response support, vulnerability assessments, and control implementation. This role will contribute to the overall effectiveness of Miovision’s security operations and play a foundational role in identifying and reducing risk across cloud, product, and IT environments.
The Security Analyst will work collaboratively across security, IT, and engineering teams to perform hands-on analysis, execute security tasks, and help implement best practices aligned with frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST. This is a unique opportunity to develop deep technical experience while supporting a wide array of cybersecurity activities critical to Miovision’s success.
Key Accountabilities:
Security Monitoring & Operations
- Monitor security dashboards, alerts, and logs across EDR, SIEM, email, and cloud platforms
- Assist in triaging and escalating security incidents
- Conduct daily health checks on security tools and infrastructure
- Assist with threat intelligence review and correlation with internal alerts
- Support incident response workflows by gathering evidence, drafting timelines, and documenting findings
Vulnerability Management
- Support the coordination and validation of vulnerability scans for cloud and endpoint assets
- Assist in tracking remediation efforts across teams and ensure timely closure of issues
- Document vulnerabilities, false positives, and accepted risks in the risk register
- Track and report security metrics and KPI’s/KRI’s/KCI’s
- Participate in internal audit readiness checks and assessments
Security Administration & Tooling
- Assist in configuring and managing security tooling
- Collaborate with senior analysts and IT to maintain security hygiene across cloud and corporate systems
- Help manage and review logging configurations
Compliance & Audit Support
- Contribute to evidence gathering for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits
- Assist in documentation of security policies, procedures, and control testing
- Participate in internal audit readiness checks and assessments
Phishing Simulation & Social Engineering Exercises
- Plan and execute phishing simulations on a regular basis to measure user resilience to social engineering.
- Analyze and report on simulation results, identify trends, and tailor follow-up training for high-risk user groups.
- Coordinate additional role-based testing for high-value targets (e.g., executives, finance, HR, IT).
Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or technical support roles
- Basic understanding of security concepts including malware, phishing, threat actors, encryption, and firewalls
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and security tooling (e.g., , Tenable, Sumo Logic)
- Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or SOC 2
- Experience with Linux or Windows administration is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, curious, and eager to learn
